Delegation of the customs service of Turkmenistan visited Pakistan

In March, a delegation from the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan made an experience exchange visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

During the visit, the customs officers studied the best practices of Pakistan in the field of organizing control over cargo transportation and the activities of the Port Control Group in the city of Karachi. Turkmen representatives visited the port of Karachi and the international container terminal “Kasim”.

Consultations were also held between members of the port control groups of Turkmenistan and Pakistan to strengthen regional practical interaction.

The visit was held within the framework of the Global Program of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and the World Customs Organization to control container traffic. Five representatives from Kazakhstan also took part in the exchange of experience in Pakistan, according to the website of the customs service of Turkmenistan.
